I was born in Verdun, Quebec on April 13, 1949. The same year that Canada became part of Newfoundland!!
Our family lived in the town of Chateauguay, which is just outside Montreal, until my folks moved my three younger brothers and me to Saint John, New Brunswick, in 1962.
I graduated from Simonds Regional High School, which is in Saint John, in 1968. Bonnie and I met on a blind date in 1971 and we were married in 1973. We moved our mobile home to Simcoe, Ontario in 1975 before we bought our first house in Brantford in 1977.
We were blessed with Sherri, our only daughter, in 1980.
From there we went to Ajax in 1987 and on to Burlington in 1993. In 2002, we bought land just west of Gooderham, where we built our current home. We sold our Burlington home in 2007 and became permanent residents of Highland East in 2008.
Although Gooderham is not a big town, it is anything but boring. We have been busy ever since we arrived. For us, everyday brings new adventure and we know that the remainder of this Council term will continue to bring even more challenges and excitment.
